From Urumqi, our 14 day tour spans China's Silk Road eastbound to Xian, the ancient starting point of the great trade caravans. You' will take the traditional route across western China, stopping at way stations lining the age-old routes : Dunhuang, where the greatest repository of Chinese Buddhist cave art resides, Mogao Grottoes, know as the world greatest treasure-house, which contain some 45,000 square meters of Murals and more than 2,000 painted sculptures. Then, it's off across the Gebi Desert to meet the western end of the Great Wall. You will stop at Turpan, s sleepy Uygur Silk Road oasis; and at Kashgar which was the capital of the Shule State 2,000 years ago. From here you can reach Pakistan on a Highway. Day01:Arrive in Beijing
Pick up at Beijing International airport and transfer to the hotel.The rest time is for yourself to discover the beauty of Beijing.
Visit Tian'anmen square and the Forbidden City, which is the largest ancient imperial palaces group in the world with 500 years history.
In the afternoon Visit the Temple of Heaven - the largest ancient imperial worship architecture group in the world.
The Beijing Duck Dinner is served and then you will be entertained by Peking Opera performance at a famous Theatre.
Drive to the Badaling Great Wall, which is 60 miles away from downtown and about 1.5 hour's driving. After lunch, drive (20 minutes) to the Ming Tombs, the best preserved Chinese imperial tombs with 500 years history .
The a la carte dinner is served at a famous resturamt in the Wangfujing area.
Day04 Beijing-Urumqi [B+L+D]
Visit the Summer Palace,is the largest and most beautiful Chinese imperial garden . Take flight to Urumqi, pick up and transfer to hotel.
Day05 Urumqi-Turpan [B+L+D]
Transfer to Turpan and check in at the hotel. Visit the Jiaohe Ruins, the Karez Well and the Sugong Pagoda.
Day06 Turpan-Dunhuang [B+L+D]
Day07 Dunhuang [B+L+D]
Pick you up at Liuyuan railway station and transfer to the hotel in Dunhuang. You will experience a short camel-riding along the Echoing-Sand Dune to reach the Crescent Moon Spring.
Day08 Dunhuang-Lanzhou [B+L+D]
Visit the Mogao Grottoes and the Dunhuang Museum. Mogao Grottoes (also known as Thousand Buddha Cave) is one of three noted grottoes in China and also the largest, best preserved and richest treasure house of Buddhist art in the world. Take a flight to Lanzhou and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Waterwheel Garden.
Day09 Lanzhou [B+L+D]
Visit the Binglingsi Grottoes, one of the very noted four caves in China.
Day10 Lanzhou-Xining [B+L+D]
Take a soft seat train to Xining and check in at the hotel. Visit the Ta'er Monastery and the Dongguan Mosque. Ta’er Monastery is one of the six biggest monasteries of the Yellow Hat Sect (Gelugpa Sect) of Tibetan Buddhism.
Day11 Xining-xian [B+L+D]
Take a flight to Xian and transfer to the hotel. Visit the City Wall. After enjoying lunch, visit the Provincial History Museum in the afternoon.
Day12 Xian [B+L+D]
Shannxi History Museum, visit to Banpo Ancient Village - the remains of a neolithic village dating back 6000 years.
Day13 Xian-Shanghai [B+L+D]
Take a flight to Shanghai and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Yuyuan Garden, the Bund and a local family. Enjoy a farewell Shanghai Cuisine dinner. The memorable dinner will be followed by Acrobatic Show .
Day14 Exzit Shanghai
