Xi'an, an old and mysterious city, is an ancient capital laden with Chinese culture and Chinese civilization. Here, round every corner can be find relics like titles from the Qing (221-206BC) and Han (206BC-220AD) Dynasties, sites of historical interest such as the Bell and Drum Towers, high technologies and modern civilization.  Located in western China, Xi'an is a time-honored modern metropolis. In the mild and semi-humid monsoon climate zone, it enjoys pleasant weather with 4 distinctive seasons and its temperature is moderate with an annual average of 13C . It is a good destination for tourist except in winter which is considerably cold. With a history of over 3,100 years, Xi'an served as capital for 13 dynasties, spanning a period of 1,100 years. The city in the Han and Tang Dynasties was the starting point of Silk Road linking east with west and an international cosmopolis where businessmen gathered. The popular saying of " Chang'an in the orient and Rome in the occident" is a true depiction of how important Xi'an has been in the world history. The chief attraction is of course the Mausoleum of Emperor Qin shihuang and his army of Terra-Cotta soldiers. Bell Tower, Drum Tower, pagodas and revolutionary history museums can be found in just about every city-Xi'an offers an opportunity to see the whole lot in one.
