Huangshan  Attraction

Huangshan City is destined to be one of the most visited tourist destinations in the 21st Century. Because of its majestic creation of nature, its more than 2000-year history, and its flourishing Huizhou culture, the city boasts a multitude of tourist attractions. They include the world-famous Mt.Huangshan (Yellow Mountain), the well-preserved ancient villages, crystal Lake Taiping and Qiyun Taoist Mountain and so on. Old residences, archways, clan temples, ancient bridges and pagodas are abundant.
   Situated in southeastern China, Mt.Huangshan (Yellow Mountain) is famous for the uniquely shaped pines, the fantastic rock peaks, the sea of clouds and the hot springs. Mt.Huangshan is a magical mountain, covering many other famous mountains' features. The mystic clouds drift in and out, changing the scenery from minute to minute as the mist rises and ebbs; the beauty of Huangshan also varies with the seasons.

                             Mt. Huangshan Scenic Spot

                            Mt. Huangshan is well-known for four wonders - strange pines, absurd stones, sea of clouds and hot springs - making it 'the most beautiful mountain under heaven'.

                            Song Dynasty (960-1279). It is a pedestrian commercial street with shops standing on both sides.
                             

                             Around Huangshan

                            Mt. Jiuhua is one of the four sacred Buddhist shrines in China, along with Mt. Wutai in Shanxi, Mt. Emei in Sichuan, and Mt. Putuoshan in Zhejiang.

                            The history of this street can be traced back about 1,000 years to the

                            Shexian County, situated at the south foot of Mt. Huangshan, is a famous historical and cultural place. The county abounds in ancient folk residences, memorial archways and ancestral temples. Most villages here show typical southern Chinese scenery featured by little bridges, murmuring streams and classical architectures.

                            It is a complex of seven arches, being the biggest existing and best-preserved complex of arches in Anhui Province.

                            These two villages are typical representatives of ancient hui-style rural residences in southern Anhui Province.

                            Others:

                            Qiyun is located at the foot of the Yellow Mountains (Huangshan). It is only 60 kilometers away from the scenic areas of the Yellow Mountains.

                            As a deep water lake, Taiping Lake (Peace Lake) is situated between Mt. Huangshan and Mt. Jiuhua. It extends 80 kilometer from east to west, which is roughly the same distance down the Li River from Guilin to Yangsuo, and covers an area of about 100 square kilometer. In addition to tour yachts, one can also take a black awning boat, a fishing boat or even a bamboo raft to enjoy the lake scene. The lake is clear and tranquil all the year round.

                            Peaks here are green and water is clear around the year. There are beautiful scenic attractions such as Old Dragon Pool (Laolong Tan), Green Dragon Pool (Qinglong Tan), Black Dragon Pool (Wulong Tan), White Dragon Pool (Bailong Tan) and Emerald Pond.

                            The name "Anhui" derives from the names of 2 cities in south Anhui, Anqing and Huizhou (now Huangshan). The abbreviation for Anhui is "Wan", because there were historically a State of Wan, a Mount Wan, and a Wan River in the province. Anhui is located in southeast China, on the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. It touches 6 provinces, including Shandong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hubei, and Henan, with the Yangtze and Huaihe Rivers running through.                       Attraction in Anhui Province
