Day01,  Lijiang to Tiger leaping gorge. Tea Horse Guest house.
08:00,  take private transport to Qiaotou, 2 hours drive.
10:30,  start trek to high path of the gorge.
12:30,  Naxi family stop for lunch.
13:30,  trekking to 28 bends.
17:30, arrival Tea and horse guest house, over night.

Day02,  Tiger leaping gorge trek.  Tina's Guest house.
08:30,  have breakfast.
09:30,  start trekking to see the water fall.
12:30,  pass waterfall, going down to Tina's.
13:30,  arrival Tina's, checkin your hotel room.
14:00,  have lunch. Afternoon will take it aesy.

In the past, people would choose between the easier, flatter 'Low Trail' and the much longer, more strenuous and dangerous 'High Trail'. These days, the 'Low Trail' has been made into a road to allow tour buses to pass through. Therefore, hiking Tiger Leaping Gorge is now synonomous with taking the 'High Trail'.

From the top of the gorge you look down the steeply angled (70-90 degrees) cliff sides to the rushing rapids of the Jingsha River more than two hundreds metres below. Needless to say, in periods of heavy rainfall walking the precarious paths along the cliff edges is more than a little scary!

Day03,  Trek to Daju, take private transport to Baoshan stone town.
08:30,  have breakfast.
09:30,  trek to Ferry, and cross Yangtse river.
12:00,  take private transport to Daju town, have lunch there.
13:00,  drive to Baoshan via Mingyin.
16:00,  arrival Baoshan, and walk up to Baoshan stone village, stay at the guest house at the village.

Day04,  Trek to Liuqing.
08:00,   have breakfast, after that view the old stone village, very picturessque, and will be a tough day of treking.
09:30,    trekking to Liuqing(20 km 6hours includes breaks)in the morning visit old part of stony city,very picturesque,will be a tough day of trekking,stay at Naxi family.The path are very steep at times,small goat path,very high,climbing over stones,going up and down.Steep path towareds around 3500m?about 2 hours last and will cross through 2 tunnels (60 and 90 m long)and after tunnels path goes down towards Liuqing village.

Day05,  Trek to Fengke.
08:30,  have breakfast.
09:30,  trekking, path most goes down. Spectacular view on mountain rang and gorge. Dry arid area. Difficulty at the time because of the loose stones and gravel.
16:30,  arrival Fengke village. The night will stay at the guest house of the village. The village had a store can buy Beer, mineral water, Telphone.

Day06,  Trek to Labo, and take trasport to Lugu lake.
08:00,   have breakfast.
09:30,   start trek to Labo. path mostly goes down, sometimes very small paths with loose gravel, steep down. Moonlandscape and through nice villages, Moso and Pumi people, and will have to take boat cross second bend of Yangtze river, then trekking up to Labo. From Labo will take 4WD or truck drive to Lugu lake.The night will stay at a hotel on the lakeside, rooms with private bath.

Day07,  Lugu lake, Day open.
Relaxing day, afternoon going to visit some Moso people's family.

The Lugu Lake is located between Ninglang County in Yunnan Province and Yanyuan County in Sichuan Province, 300 kilometers away from Lijiang County. It is a plateau lake with a total area of 52 square kilometers, 2685 meters above sea level. The average depth is 45 meters, the deepest point being 93 meters. The water is very clear. The lake remains an uncontaminated plateau lake.
The pretty and graceful Mosuo girls, the ancient and natural canoes and the moving and pleasant fishing songs are considered to be the "three most enjoyable things on the lake".   The lugu lake is embraced in green mountains. The best-loved one by the Mosuo people is the Holy Gemu Mountain (the Lion Mountaion). The local people worship it as their Goddess Gemu. On 25th July of each lunar year, they will gather at the foot of the mountain for a great sacrificial rite.

Day08,  Lugu lake, take transport going back to Lijiang.
Trip end.

Lugu Lake is located between Yunnan and Sichuan Provinces and is famous of Mosuo Minority. A trekking tour from Lijiang to Lugu Lake will be an experience of forests, minorities and mountains. As this area is still quite isolated, most aspects of its culture are well remained. The best time for this tour falls in April, May, September and October when it is dried season.
