Yuquan Ski Resort
Being 55 km to the southeast of Harbin, it covers 3,000 hectares. There are 6 sking trails in the resort, among which the longest reaches 1,670 m. The resort has many entertainment like hunting, watching deer in garden, driving horse, dogsled and so on.
Yuquan Hunting Ground (Yuquan shouliechang) is currently the biggest close hunting ground in China. It is located to the west of Harbin, on the sub range of the Changbai Mountain (Changbaishan).
With a total area of 3000 hectares, the hunting ground enjoys a forest coverage of 80 percent and has seventeen peaks all over 3000m.
Clean streams and rare plants can be found throughout the region, which is home to various specious of wildlife including goats, deer and rabbits.
Please remember to leave those Siberian Tigers alone. Besides hunting, the resort also provides lodging in its uniquely designed traditional hunter's wooden domes, skiing, barbecue and horse riding.
This is perhaps not the nicest of activities that is to be had in China, although hunting is not the only thing that can be done here. It is also only to be considered for those with a bit of wealth on their hands, there are a few heavy expenses to be considered beyond travel, accommodation and food, most importantly a variable per animal fee
Yuquan Ski Resort can offer most to the beginners for its long skiing season, high-quality snow, convenient slope, cables and free-style ski trails. Meanwhile, it is an entertainment place which perfectly combines skiing with hunting. For example, the tourists can play snow sledge driven by horses, snowball, snowing balloon and ride horses. The hotel here can accommodate more than 3000 people and hold intermediate business meeting at the same time.
And snow field facilities: has three section length for 400 m, width for 60 m, slope for 10 of of snow field, also has drag led type ropeway, and skis and the ski clothing, ski equipment, also has snow motorcycle 6 Taiwan, sled and dog pull climbing PEAR;
How to get there: Take the No.207 tourist train to Yuquan town (62km west of Harbin), then take a taxi from the town to the resort.There are numbers of trains that leave Harbin for Yuquan Town such as K479 (8 am, 8:56am) and K637.
The return trains are K638, 2052, 6222
Cost: Admission to the hunting ground is RMB30, but this is only the start. Gun lease is subject to charge and every bullet costs RMB5. All the prey will be charged according to species, from RMB70/animal (Wild Turkey) to RMB10000/animal (Chinese Dotted Deer).Skating, ice ball, snow sled driven by horses, 80yuan/2 hours, 100yuan/half day, 160 yuan/the whole day.
